Make sure you use a combination of job search methods.  By using a combination of job search methods you are guaranteed 100% success.

Using the Internet – Research has turned up the fact that only 4 out of 100 job hunters that use the Internet as their primary search method land a job.

Mailing resumes out randomly - 7 out of 100 will find success using this method

Answering ads in professional or trade journals – This method also yields about a 7% success rate.

Answering local newspaper ads – This method has a 5 to 24% success rate.  Please keep in mind the higher the salary being sought the lower the success rate.

Going to private employment agencies or search firms - This method has a 5 to 28% success rate.  In recent years women seem to have a higher success rate using this method than men.  Please keep in mind the higher the salary being sought the lower the success rate.
