Post Career Shock Syndrom (PCSS)
Something has changed in the workplace!  In the past if you performed at the highest level you were rewarded with an oustanding income and job security.  Good economy or poor economy there was always room at the top.  What happened?  You were on the "A" team, you were making the tough decisions, you were cutting costs, you were producing when others weren't.  Then in a moment you received your notice, "we've decided to go in a new direction!"

There you are in shock.  At this point you are too confused to be angry.  As the weeks unfold and turn into months you are still more confused than angry.  How do you explain the unexplainable?  The answer is you don't because it can't be explained and trying to explain it will only make you look sad, angry and confused.

Your focus must be on the future and what you will bring to the table.  Your untimely release from your last position is no reflection on the success you achieved with that organization.  Don't let a poor decision on the part of your last employer be an obsatacle to your future success.  Don't fall victim to PCSS.
